It’s a healthy recipe which you will consume every day without any extra effort. Just prepare batter and set aside and it’s will work wonders on your body.
India cultivates over 8 million tons of these grains every year, followed by Africa and China. Millet can be as a traditional cereal, and can also be used in porridge, snacks, and other types of bread, as it is very high in starch, like other grains. It is also a very good source of nutrients, vitamins, minerals, and organic compounds that can significantly boost human health in various ways.

Like wise you can use many…kodo millet and foxtail Millets.
Some may be allergiec to Millets consumption if they have thyroid related issues. Consult before you consume.

1litre of batter
Secret ingredient required:
- 4:1 ratio Millets : urad dhaal means 4cup Millets 1 cup urad dhaal. Note: you can put – 3 cup of Millets(here I have used Banyard Millet) and 1cup of idly rice which makes the batter soft as normal Dosa. Only Millets might get you hard one.
- Fenugreek 2tsp
Soak all the above ingredients separate and set aside for 2 -3 hours
Wash the urad dhaal I prefer black urad dhaal as it skin is very good for health.
Grind the soaked urad dhaal and keep aside.
Then grind the saoked Millets + fenugreek and pour to the urad dhaal
Add salt and allow it to be fermented for 6 to 7 hours.
